It is a day that highlights the importance of thinking outside the box, breaking down barriers, and embracing new ideas. Creativity and innovation can manifest in various forms and we see it all the time in both competitive and recreational minigolf.

International Women’s Day (IWD), observed on March 8, honors the achievements of women worldwide and advocates for their rights. Originating from early 20th-century suffrage movements, IWD has evolved into a powerful platform for promoting gender equality. From rallies to strikes, women have used IWD to amplify their voices and effect change. 

One such example of amplification comes from Sweden where for nearly three decades the country has come alive in March with a spirited tradition that celebrates women’s camaraderie, skill, and shared passion. This event is none other than the Women’s Five, where women from all walks of life gather to compete, bond, and create lasting memories. The 29th running will be held March 9-10 in Borås.
